Other things we can do:

Pray

For all those affected by the 6.1 aftershock.

Put a name and face with the tragedy in Haiti. Pray for pastors, their families, their congregations and their role in the relief efforts in Haiti. By going here you can print out pictures of every Nazarene pastor serving in Haiti. Pray for the people in the communities affected. Pray for those who have lost family members, especially the children who have lost parents. Pray for the wounded who are still seeking medical care, and pray for the Nazarene doctors and nurses who are working to provide that care in partnership with Heart to Heart International. Pray for those who have lost their homes and are sleeping on the streets. Pray for those who are running out of water on these 90-degree days. Pray for those who don't have food to eat. Beth Luthye, regional NCM coordinator in the Caribbean, shares that a gentleman she met at Bel Air Church of the Nazarene put it well when he said that this experience has strengthened the faith of their people because they have to pray and rely on God, "... but people still have to eat."

Give

Meet immediate needs by donating through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. This is the best way to meet the specific needs of the church in Haiti as they work to do immediate relief assistance as well as the longer-term rebuilding efforts. Want to give tangible items? NCM Inc. is working with us to ship Crisis Care Kits, water, food, shelter, and other immediate needs. You can even buy specific items directly from Amazon.com to be sent to Haiti.

Remember

The need in Haiti will continue for months and years to come. Follow the progress at Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Nazarene Communication Network, and the Caribbean Regional Website.
